भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के कोच के लिए बीसीसीआई को 3000 से अधिक आवेदन मिले हैं. आवेदन करने वालों में सचिन तेंदुलकर, एमएस धोनी से लेकर नरेंद्र मोदी, अमित शाह जैसे नाम शामिल हैं. एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक मोदी-सचिन-धोनी जैसे मशहूर लोगों के नाम के जरिये आवेदन करने वाले लोग फेक यूजर्स हैं. भारतीय पुरुष क्रिकेट टीम के नए कोच के लिए आवेदन करने की अंतिम तारीख 27 मई थी.
भारतीय टीम के मौजूदा कोच राहुल द्रविड़ का कार्यकाल टी20 वर्ल्ड कप तक के लिए ही है. बीसीसीआई ने द्रविड़ की जगह लेने के लिए नए कोच की तलाश में है. इसी के तहत आवेदन मंगाए गए थे. बोर्ड ने इसके लिए अपनी वेबसाइट में गूगल फॉर्म का लिंक दिया था, जिसके जरिए आवेदन किए जाने थे.
